In just under three years, Don Darrow who also doubles up as a graphic artiste and a photographer has found a way to carve a niche for himself in Port Harcourt with 6 songs and a music video to his credit.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

EV: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Don: I grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I decided to become an artiste out of passion for music when I discovered I had songwriting abilities.

EV: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Don: The first thing is having quality music content and visibility. When your music is good and you are visible on the media space, getting gigs and airplays will be easy.

EV: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Don: Everyone is prone to making mistakes. I had my fair share when I started performing for the first time. See your mistakes as stepping stones for greatness otherwise they will weigh you down.

EV: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Don: Not really toured. But I have travelled to a few states in Nigeria for performances. I look forward to touring though.

EV: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Don: I dropped a new single titled “Lovin You”. Working on shooting a video for it before recording my EP.

EV: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Don: I make research online and I watch trends. Online Promotion works best for me.

EV: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Don: I would perform at the O2 Arena with Beyonce, Usher Raymond, Davido, Tiwa Savage. I have got deep love and respect for their brands.

EV: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Don: After shooting my music video for my RnB single “Lovin You”, I will start recording my EP.

EV: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Don: Acting movies

EV: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?

Don: My EP

EV: Any Shout-outs?

Don: Shoutout to all my fans and everyone buying and streaming my music all over the world. I love you all
