About Exposed Vocals · EV Signal

A signal-driven network for independent music and the industry around it.

Exposed Vocals connects artists, bands, labels, managers, publicists, promoters and other music professionals through a set of custom systems built specifically for EV. Signal helps the platform understand activity and momentum. Matching evaluates fit. Discovery surfaces relevance. Opportunities turn that context into something actionable.

Every move creates a signal. EV connects the dots.

One network · two sides

EV is built to create value for artists and industry at the same time.

The network only works if both sides benefit. Artists need more than exposure. Industry professionals need more than another database of names. EV is designed to create better context before the introduction happens.

For artists & bands

Turn activity into context, credibility and opportunity.

Your EV presence brings your music, profile, media, editorial coverage, activity and professional goals into one place so the network has more than a follower count to work with.

  • Build a professional identity around your music and career stage.
  • Create Signal through meaningful platform activity and participation.
  • Surface in discovery where relevance and fit matter.
  • See professional matches with plain-language reasons.
  • Find opportunities that align with your profile and readiness.
  • Connect editorial proof, media and relationships to one footprint.
For labels, management, PR, promoters & industry

Find the right people with more signal and less noise.

Industry profiles are participants in the network—not spectators. EV gives professionals a way to define what they do, what they are looking for and who they work with, then uses that context to improve discovery and connection quality.

  • Discover artists by fit instead of sorting through undifferentiated submissions.
  • See genre, territory, career stage, activity and professional context together.
  • Build a visible professional profile and network presence.
  • Receive more relevant connection and matching suggestions.
  • Post opportunities and reach profiles that meet real requirements.
  • Evaluate an artist through music, profile data, coverage and current activity.

The EV intelligence layer

Signal is not one magic score.

EV Signal is the connective intelligence layer across the platform. It helps organize meaningful activity and momentum, but it is not designed to replace context. Different decisions require different rules, so EV uses custom logic for the job being performed rather than letting one number control the entire network.

IdentityWho the profile represents and what role it plays in the network.
IntentWhat that person or organization is actually looking for now.
ReadinessWhether enough information exists for another person to make a useful decision.
ActivityRecent, meaningful participation that adds context rather than raw volume.
MomentumChanges in participation, response and relevant platform movement over time.
RelationshipsFollows, connections and professional context around a profile.
OpportunityWhether an opening, requirement or next action actually applies.
TimingWhether the relationship or opportunity is relevant now—not just theoretically compatible.

Custom-built for Exposed Vocals

Different decisions use different algorithms.

EV's discovery, matching, opportunity and chart systems are developed specifically around the behavior and relationships of this network. They share trusted profile and activity data, but they do not all answer the same question—and they should not all produce the same kind of result.

01 · DISCOVERY

Who is relevant to surface?

Discovery combines profile identity, meaningful completeness, relevance and current platform context to organize people worth finding. It is designed to avoid making existing audience size the only path to visibility.

02 · MATCHING

Is there a real reason these two sides should talk?

Matching is two-sided. It considers reciprocal intent, profile type, genre, territory, career stage, readiness and other factual compatibility rules. EV explains the reasons instead of presenting a fake precision percentage.

03 · OPPORTUNITIES

Does this opening actually fit this profile?

Opportunity logic starts with hard eligibility and stated requirements. Relevance and supporting Signal can help organize qualified results, but momentum does not override a requirement the profile does not meet.

04 · CHARTS & MOMENTUM

What is moving inside the network?

Charts use defined participation rules and integrity controls to show movement without turning paid services into ranking power. The purpose is to surface credible momentum, not manufacture popularity.

Why the exact formula stays private: EV can explain what a system is trying to measure, the kinds of information it considers and why a result was surfaced without publishing exact weighting, thresholds or protective logic that could be manipulated. The algorithms are continuously tested and calibrated as the network evolves.

Why industry benefits

Better discovery is valuable on both sides of the introduction.

An artist does not benefit from being matched to the wrong company, and an industry professional does not benefit from receiving hundreds of irrelevant artists. EV is designed to improve the quality of the context before either side spends time on the relationship.

Less cold sorting

Use structured profile information and stated intent to narrow the field before opening a conversation.

More current context

See what a profile is doing now, not only what was written in a static bio months or years ago.

Professional fit

Evaluate whether genre, territory, career stage and relationship goals make sense for both sides.

Opportunity targeting

Publish a real opening with requirements, then let EV surface it to profiles that can actually qualify.

A network identity

Labels, managers, PR and other professionals build their own footprint, connections and visibility—not just a hidden buyer account.

Explainable introductions

Understand why EV surfaced someone instead of being handed an unexplained recommendation or opaque percentage.

Integrity by design

The system only matters if people can trust what it means.

EV separates commerce from platform credibility. Paying for an editorial or promotional service does not buy a chart position, a positive review, a professional match or guaranteed industry attention.

We also do not treat every click as equally meaningful. The platform is continuously refined to reduce noise, repeated low-context activity and behavior that could distort outcomes.

Signal should help explain momentum and relevance—not create a new way to buy the appearance of them.

One intelligence system · many views

The major EV surfaces are designed to work together.

Live Signal shows what is happening now. Profiles establish identity. Discover helps people find relevant members. Connections establish relationships. Matches suggest relationships worth exploring. Opportunities turn fit into action. Charts show movement. Editorial adds human context and proof.

The long-term goal is not to create more isolated features. It is to make each useful action improve what the network understands and what it can surface next.

Meet the founder

The thinking behind the Signal.

Founder Randy Morano built Exposed Vocals around a problem that has never really changed: talent is everywhere, but the right context, connection and next opportunity are not. His work around signals, algorithms and complex systems helped reshape EV from an exposure platform into a network built around relevance, momentum and fit.
