In this story

A funk-fueled exploration of faith Sheila Moore-Piper’s “Let’s Celebrate” bursts at the seams. Everything about it pops with energy. Vocals have a sunny optimism to them while they opt for a gospel fervor. Instrumentally they incorporate a great deal into the densely packed piece of work. By far the highlight are those lyrics which embody the celebratory spirit of having faith. Rhythms are infectious for the grooves roll on through with a physicality that feels outright fantastic. Layer upon layer filters into the mix gives it a colossal, heady spirit.

Right from the beginning the funky fresh sound burst forth on the scene. Sizzling synthesizer mixes with a great deal of fanfare in a way that captures the spirit of true faith. When those vocals come on into the fray everything starts up in earnest. Drums go for a loose yet playful disposition as an incredible degree of detail comes into focus. Melodically rich there is a joy that rests at the very center of it all, feeling particularly fine. The timeless take is stunning for they refuse to be easily pigeonholed at the pop sensibility proves to be particularly potent. Lyrics are chosen with the utmost of care ensuring that every moment feels carefully labored over even as the overall sound itself goes for a carefree attitude.

“Let’s Celebrate” shows off the intrepid skill of Shelia Moore-Piper in delivering a sound that raises up to the heavens in such a satisfyingly sweet fashion.
