Tommy Alexander | “Whatever You Say” | Western AF

Let me introduce you to Tommy Alexander. A currently based Portland, Oregon singer-songwriter. Born in a place as West you can get, Santa Barbara. I first started talking to Tommy before a Pacific Northwest video capturing tour. The man made most if not all my videos in the area happen, and credit him as a producer for making them happen. He also runs Pilot Light Booking, which makes sense of why he’s a grand coordinator. Enough about how sweet and awesome he is. Tommy is here to show us his stuff and present’s his ability to move us. I love his explanation at the beginning, the story of chickens going at it is where true inspiration comes from.

“This song is dedicated to the idea and action of holding space for others, especially those that you disagree with, those on the opposite side of the line,” says Alexander. “Our opinions can serve us as guides, as protection, but they are traps nonetheless. We live in a time where standing up for what you know is very important, yet often we are so certain of what we know that there is short sightedness and a shut down in empathy and listening.”

Joining Tommy was his bandmate Adam Witkowski and with Bart Budwig masterfully on baritone horn. Hellova a trio if I say so myself.
