Spotlight: jasmine.4.t and Jacob Alon Unite for “Find Ur Ppl” — A Stirring Anthem of Identity, Solidarity, and Resistance
In celebration of a decade of boundary-pushing sounds and inclusive community-building, the All Things Go: 10 Years charity compilation drops a standout track today: “Find Ur Ppl” by jasmine.4.t featuring Jacob Alon. The song is a poignant call to community, resilience, and chosen family, released ahead of the full compilation out November 7th, with all proceeds benefitting The Ally Coalition.
Crafted during a pivotal moment in her life, jasmine.4.t reveals that “Find Ur Ppl” was written in the early stages of her transition. It’s a deeply personal piece born in Manchester, where she found her community — notably Yulia Trot aka YBT, who offered jasmine a couch and space to embrace her womanhood for the first time. Yulia is now being held as a political prisoner — one of the Filton 24, accused of taking part in direct action against an Israeli weapons facility in the UK.
“This track is for her and for everyone seeking safety, identity, and solidarity,” says jasmine.4.t. “To now share it with Jacob Alon, someone whose voice and spirit resonate with everything this song stands for, is surreal. Their contribution brings a beauty and emotional depth that elevates the entire piece.”
Jacob Alon, a recent Mercury Prize nominee, brings an ethereal presence to the collaboration — their voice and lyricism threading seamlessly with jasmine’s delicate, earnest production. As two queer artists, this partnership embodies the track’s central message: find your people — and hold them close.
