IN ’75, THE GROUP AMERICA HAD A #1 hit with, “Sister Golden Hair”. I decided to record a fresh arrangement using horns, so with sons, Sam (on drums) and Noah (on trombone), we made it a family affair, along with these other talented musicians: Max Dvorin/sax, Jacob Haymens/trumpet, Josh Ashley/keyboards, Mitch Predella/guitar, Michael Meadows/bass, Lana Boleyjack /BGV, and Madison Skinner/BGV, who, like Sam, are graduates or students at Belmont University, majoring in their instrument. Props to Jared Conrad, the genius behind the board and Scot Sax, who I found the day of the session, to shoot the video.
