The Oscillat Music label kicks off the Marabouda EP, featuring a killer set of deep house grooves from Sam. From the opening title tracks, with its breathy chords and jazzy keys, which reference classic Chicago house with a uniquely modern flavour, through the Joey Anderson-like weirdness of “Storm Refuge” and pumping rhythms of “Decoy”, the producer demonstrates his killer ear for classic deep house textures. A must-check release from a label to keep tabs on.
