The Rise Of Africa’s Best Young Generation Lyricist
Biography
Martyn (Martin Chika Emmanuel) is a multitalented rapper, singer, songwriter, author and inventor from Eastern Nigeria but born and raised in Lagos. The young rapper (born 26th July 1994) began to build his professional career in music after bagging a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science in 2015 and interning at Chocolate City Entertainment afterwards, driven by the nurtured passion that turned him into a songwriter at the age of nine, going on to release singles such as City Lights and Wizkid’s Ojuelegba Refix.
Having musical influences such as Kanye West, MI Abaga, Drake, Wale, his music tilts heavily towards witty lyricism but retains melodic softness and it is easy to see why he has been dubbed Africa’s best lyricist even at such an early stages in his career.
