PARTYNEXTDOOR Earns First No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay Chart, Drake Extends Record
PARTYNEXTDOOR has hit the top spot on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart with his track “Somebody Loves Me,” a collaboration with none other than Drake from their latest album, ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U.’ The duo’s chart-topping success is a cause for celebration as the song leaped from No. 3 to claim the number one position on the chart dated July 5. This achievement not only marks PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay but also solidifies Drake’s position as a chart-topping powerhouse with a whopping 41st chart-topper under his belt.
The track, released and promoted through OVO Sound/Santa Anna/Republic, has emerged as the most-played song on rhythmic radio stations in the United States for the week ending June 26. According to Luminate, “Somebody Loves Me” saw an increase of 8% in plays during its coronation week compared to the previous frame.
This milestone marks PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first Rhythmic Airplay No. 1 on his seventh appearance on the chart. His previous best was a No. 6 ranking with “Believe It,” featuring Rihanna, in 2020. The success of “Somebody Loves Me” also signifies the fourth collaboration between PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake to make waves on Rhythmic Airplay.
Their previous joint efforts include “Come and See Me” (PARTYNEXTDOOR feat. Drake) peaking at No. 21 in November 2016, “Loyal” (PARTYNEXTDOOR feat. Drake) reaching No. 10 in March 2020, and “Twist & Turn” (Popcaan feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR & Drake) hitting No. 30 in November 2020 before their latest triumph with “Somebody Loves Me” claiming the top spot in July 2025.
For Drake, “Somebody Loves Me” marks his 41st No. 1 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, solidifying his position as the artist with the most chart-toppers since the chart’s inception in October 1992. With Rihanna following closely behind with 17 No. 1 hits and The Weeknd in third place with 15, Drake continues to dominate the airwaves.
The music video for “Somebody Loves Me” not only showcases the infectious chemistry between PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake but also serves as a reminder of their previous successes. This track is the third single from their collaborative album, ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,’ with the previous singles being Drake solo tracks. “Gimme a Hug” peaked at No. 4 on Rhythmic Airplay in May, while “Nokia” dominated the chart for two weeks that same month.
In addition to its success on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, “Somebody Loves Me” has also made its mark on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, maintaining its No. 6 position and showing an 11% increase in plays in the latest tracking week.
