Noble Hops’ The Trunk was released for Veterans Day 2025, according to the November 12 announcement. Utah Burgess wrote the song around a son discovering evidence of his father’s experience of the Vietnam War in an old chest. The story considers the effects of conflict across generations and the difficulty of bringing hidden history into family understanding. Jazz Byers and Burgess produced the track at Rattle Clack Studio in Pittsburgh, with Byers contributing percussion and acoustic guitar and Mike Ofca handling mixing and mastering. Linda Weber created the cover art.
