New on EV: Substance Abuse, ‘Don’t Get Us Wrong (feat. Tash)’

Substance Abuse return to Exposed Vocals with Don’t Get Us Wrong featuring Tash of Tha Liks, re-imagined by DJ Obi as the final remix from his EP of Substance Abuse reworks. We last covered the Los Angeles group for the 20th-anniversary reissue of Overproof, and before that in our Cooler Heads interview.

The original, produced by Waes One, was the first track the group released after Overproof. Eso Tre describes it as a house party beat, while DJ Obi’s version is “something that might be more geared for the club.” A bonus track from the EP, Dayz of Delinquency with Nebz Supreme and Moka Only, is next, and work is underway on the new album Cooler Heads Prevail.
