Found in the Inbox: Nave Monjo Bleeds “Royal Blue” for Kansas City
In this story
Nave Monjo was born in 1992 and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and found music early enough that picking up the mic felt inevitable. The Rive Video Promotion campaign for “Royal Blue” says the name and the skills grew fast: by 2014 Nave was on T-Pain’s Dranking Patna Tour, performing in large venues.
An anthem for the Royals
“Royal Blue” is a tribute to the hometown Kansas City Royals. It anchors the album Monjo Land, recorded in Nave’s adopted hometown of New Orleans and due in early 2017.
Writing and producing
Beyond several singles, Nave writes for other artists and has started producing, with longtime associate KC. The campaign’s message is that “Royal Blue” is the introduction: an original sound, and no plans to slow down.
Why it was in the inbox
Sports anthems live or die on local pride. “Royal Blue” has plenty.
