Yankie’s second name is Andre. This album, named after his baptismal name, consists of the stories behind Yankie’s life under two different names. Not only as Yankie the rapper, but also as Andre the average human, he shares with us what he realized about his inner self during his break away from music.

The title song “Spell My Name Right” is a slow funk song with some brassy sounds. It’s a fun, upbeat number with some modern vibes to the overall mood. The message in the song shouts, “This is who I am and I can be better.” It definitely shows how Yankie, despite his hiatus, really poured his soul and mind into the rap.

Yankieのもう一つの名前Andre。彼の洗礼名で決められた今回のアルバムは、二つの名前で生きてきたYankie自身の話を盛り込んでいる。
ラッパーとしてのYankieだけでなく、平凡な人を表現した‘Andre’で、長く休む間悩みながらよく観察した自分の内面を加減なく見せている。

タイトル曲「ちゃんと書いて僕の名前」は、ブラスが加味された遅いテンポのファンクジャンルで、昔の感性に最近のバイブを加えた非常にノリのいい曲だ。 ‘僕はこんな人で、もっと狂ったように遊べる’と言っている。その間の空白期を思わせない‘ラップで全部表現したい’という熱望をすべて成し遂げた。

Yankie의 또 다른 이름 Andre. 그의 세례명으로 정해진 이번 앨범은 두 이름으로 살아온 Yankie 자신에 대한 이야기를 담고 있다. 래퍼로서의 Yankie뿐 아니라 평범한 일상인을 표현한 ‘Andre’에는 오랜 공백 기간 동안 고민하며 들여다 본 자신의 내면을 가감 없이 보여준다.

타이틀곡 ‘똑바로 써 내 이름’은 브라스가 가미된 느린 템포의 훵크 장르로, 옛 감성에 요즘 바이브를 더해 만들어진 흥겨운 곡이다. ‘난 이런 사람이고, 더 미친 듯이 놀 수 있다’고 말하고 있다. 그 동안의 공백기를 무색케하는 ‘랩으로 다 쏟아내고 싶다’라는 열망을 모두 풀어내었다.
