After breaking the news of The WorldWired tour for Hardwired…To Self Destruct, Metallica revealed another huge announcement today (May 8) for their very own special pop-up store. The store will go along with the summer stadium tour that is set to feature Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, and Gojira.
Pop-up stores have become quite the fad amongst artists — particularly pop acts such as Justin Bieber — but are now making headway into the metal and hard rock scene with bands like Guns N’ Roses, who jumped on the bandwagon when they opened up a Manhattan-based store during their MetLife Stadium concert.
To many fans surprise and delight, Metallica will be on board with this music phenomenon by introducing their own chain of pop-up stores that will follow along the course of their tour to fill your Metallica merch needs and desires. To gain the fullest Metallica experience, the pop-up store series will begin with a Manhattan location, stationed at address 96 Spring Street, right before their MetLife Stadium gig on Sunday, May 14.
Current dates & times for the New York store:
May 12 – 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
May 13 – 10 p.m.
