Found in the Inbox: DORO Celebrates 30 Years With “Raise Your Fist in the Air

DORO had a big 2016, and the Rive Video Promotion campaign for “Raise Your Fist in the Air” lists it all. On June 24, Nuclear Blast released Strong and Proud – 30 Years of Rock and Metal, with anniversary concerts from Wacken, New York, Moscow and DORO’s hometown of Düsseldorf, plus the documentary Behind the Curtain, Inside the Heart of DORO.

Metal Goddess

In May, DORO received the Metal Goddess and Legends Award at the Vegas Rocks Award Show. That came after a US tour in February and March and 16 Rock Meets Classic shows in Germany and Switzerland, where DORO played “Love’s Gone to Hell” to more than 110,000 people. Since March 2016 DORO has also hosted a monthly show on Germany’s ROCK ANTENNE.

A living legend

The campaign repeats the credentials: a first Legends Award at the 2013 Golden Gods in London and the German Metal Hammer Legend Award in Berlin that September, gold and platinum awards for about 10 million records, more than 2,800 shows in 60 countries and 16 studio albums. The year closed with a “Love’s Gone to Hell” tour in November and December.
