Some inbox submissions announce themselves before you even get to the second track. Crashing Wayward’s The Fight Within is one of those releases — a six-song EP built around hard-rock weight, melodic hooks and the feeling of a band pushing forward rather than simply putting more music into the world.
The release includes “Bullet For A Heart,” a single that climbed to #26 on the SMR charts, alongside “Holding For Dear Life,” “Going Blind” and “Brass Coffin.” The EP is rounded out by “Still You’re Perfect” and “Seize The Day,” giving the project enough range to feel like a complete statement rather than a collection of singles.
