Exposed Vocals Interviews Che D’nero
Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
I heard of Exposed Vocals through my manager/producer. I decided to sign up to spread my music and to obtain a new network and resources.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I grew up in Richmond CA. Music was always a big part of my life. I’ve been a student for as long as I can remember. My dad and one of my younger brothers inspired me to be an artist.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
My name was inspired by the revolutionary Che Guevara and he was an Argentine Marxistrevolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist.
I admired him as a major figure of the Cuban Revolution, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion and global insignia in popular culture. I am a rebellion at heart as well, I go against the grain in order to effect change with my music, feed the soul.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
I’m all for it. Giving away free music is the best way to be heard by the masses.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Work hard. Stay consistent and invest in your craft.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Yes I make mistakes. I continue performing and try to close the show with a bang.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
I haven’t started officially touring but I travel allot and network as much as possible. It’s always a movie, wish I could film it all, lol.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
I’m usually inspired by life itself and the different things I go through. Sometimes other songs or ideas from my favorite artist. My writing process is usually when I’m in solitude or have a lot on my mind.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
I would have to say this song called Scars and another called Grace, oh they are both my songs.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
I would invest and plant seeds that would take care of me financially for life. And I would use most of my time perfecting my craft and promoting my brand.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
I am currently using Pro tools and FL Studio. I just plan on getting better mixing/mastering and working with a live band.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Social media and just being out…being seen.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
I am a father of two sons, so everything I do is for their future! I just work hard. I trust my instincts and remain humble. I remain me, that’s works the best.
