Adam Killx is an independent artist of 22 years from the city of Bogota – Colombia, he writes, composes and makes his own songs, his first EP of 5 songs which are inspired by pop culture and music, the first single it is clear from his work called stupid song, stupid song is a fun song that encompasses genres like pop, electronic and dance music that mixes catchy melodies and simple lyrics that makes a perfect song for clubs and discos by its energy and power. Adam Killx was inspired in artists of the 80s and contemporary artists to create his visual and musical aesthetic side, thus creating a perfect retro combination based on the current, popular culture and eighties.

Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

Adam Killx: I saw The page Exposed Vocals in Twitter and I thought that well, this page is interesting because they are interested in independent artists, This was my first impresion.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Adam Killx:I grew up, in a Beautiful and cold city called Bogotá in Colombia, since I can remember I am in love with music and one time I said to myself: I want to make music , fulfilled my dream.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Adam Killx: hahahaha well, I love an old tv series called “The Addams Family” the name came from there and the Killx I don’t know,a day came to my mind and I liked it much.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Adam Killx: I love Sharing my music Online,if I would, but I think that We the Independent artists make more music, photos, videos and more with the money we earn.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Adam Killx: Be yourself.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Adam Killx:I have not done performances so far, I have only months to live as Adam Killx , I hope to be very soon in a stage.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Adam Killx: I want to make a big and grand tour, but not now.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Adam Killx: well, actually I’m inspired by many things when composing ,firstly I imagine what I want to do and how I want it,  I write first the letters and after I make the song or sometimes I do the opposite,but really I do it night, I feel that inspires me more.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Adam Killx: hahahahahaha I love this question,and I think that Womanizer by Britney Spears.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Adam Killx: With that money I would make all the music I have imagined to do and travel around the world, it would be crazy !.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Adam Killx:at the moment I’m working on my EP, I hope everything goes as I hope because I worked very hard on this.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Adam Killx:So far I have not found the perfect way, but I hope to do soon

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Adam Killx: I would love to do a song with Marina Diamandis in Londres is my favorite artist, I think it has taught me a lot as a person and as an artist.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Artist: for now I’m just focused on stupid song, and of course after will have more and more songs, and I started this and I will not stop.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Adam Killx: Animation in 3D!

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Adam Killx: LOL, Yes I can remember, my first album was The Best Damn Thing By Avril Lavigne, I just thought, Oh my god she is so Hot and Rebel, she was the sensation in that moment, I just wanted that Freaking Album nooooooooow.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Adam Killx:some of my favorite artists have taught me that the only way to keep the music is renovating all!, your sound, your thoughts, your aesthetic and all, innovation in the field of music that today is very broad.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2015?

Adam Killx: Many things I have in mind is something quite big and funny, just hope to surprise and win the good and bad reviews from many people, because I think this is the basis to grow as an artist.
