In 1970, three brooklyn high school friends (Marc Bell, Kenny Aaronson and Richie Wise) started DUST. DUST has been sighted as being one of the first American Heavy Metal bands.

Dust:
Drummer – Marc Bell (who was later rechristened Marky Ramone, and would keep the beat for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame/Grammy Award-winning punk legends the Ramones)
Bassist – Kenny Aaronson (who has played with everyone from Bob Dylan to Joan Jett)
Singer/Guitarist – Richie Wise and Lyricist/Producer Kenny Kerner – both of which would form a production team, and produced Kiss’ first two classic albums.
