Country’s Heavy Hitters Attend Billboard Country Power Players Presented by Bud Light
The honky-tonk heart of Nashville was set ablaze at the start of CMA Fest 2025 with Billboard‘s Country Power Players event, generously presented by Bud Light. Category 10 was the place to be as the who’s who of country music gathered to toast to the triumphs of artists and industry bigwigs over the past year, all while cooling off with some ice-cold Bud Light—courtesy of the evening’s gracious sponsor. It’s safe to say that the scene was electric, with music and merriment in the air throughout the night.
Melinda Newman, the vibrant force behind Billboard, set the stage for the evening by introducing Reyna Roberts as this year’s host. The spotlight then shone brightly on the first performer of the night, Carin Leon. The star-studded affair saw the likes of Shaboozey, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Lainey Wilson, Lauren Daigle, and Brothers Osborne gracing the stage as presenters, adding a touch of glamour and prestige to the evening. And let’s not forget the talented souls who came out to show their support, with the likes of Bailey Zimmerman and Max McNown adding their own hues to the colorful tapestry of the event.
As the music pumped and the mood soared, attendees grooved to the beats spun by Dj Grant Fisher, all the while savoring delectable bites and washing it all down with the refreshing flow of Bud Light drafts and tall boys. It was a dance floor frenzy, a celebration of music and community unlike any other.
This year’s honorees sparkled under the Nashville lights, each shining in their own unique way. BigXThaPlug emerged victorious with the Innovator Award, while Ella Langley blazed a trail as the 2025 Trailblazer. The Groundbreaker Award found its way into the hands of none other than Riley Green, a testament to his rising star power in the country music scene. On the executive front, Tatum Allsep was recognized with the Impact Award, a nod to her tireless dedication to making a difference, while Stacy Vee was crowned Executive of the Year for her exemplary leadership. And let’s not forget Billboard‘s very own Jim Asker, who received a special farewell tribute in the form of a commemorative Billboard cover—a fitting tribute to his contributions to the industry.
The crescendo of the evening came in the form of a mesmerizing performance by Little Big Town, a group that has left an indelible mark on the country music landscape. As they accepted the inaugural Ben Vaughn Song Champion award, the group delivered a poignant speech honoring the memory of the late Warner Music Nashville president/CEO, a touching moment that encapsulated the spirit of camaraderie and respect that permeated throughout the night.
In the heart of Nashville, where the music pulses through the veins of the city, Billboard‘s Country Power Players event was a testament to the richness and diversity of the country music scene.
