Australian Alt-Pop Band ‘Platform 2’ Release a Sunshine Single

Platform 2 is comprised of two songwriters, Grace Newton-Wordsworth and Aaron Birch. Grace was raised on a farm two hours South of Perth, Western Australia, while Aaron grew up in a remote Aboriginal community north of Broome, Western Australia. From two very different backgrounds, the couple met each other through a mutual friend who forced them into a room to play a song together, a very awkward meet cute… However, it didn’t take long for Grace and Aaron to realise they have a special chemistry when it comes to writing songs together.

Since then, with the inception of Platform 2, Grace and Aaron have shared a dedicated passion for creating and performing original music. They started their journey with a folk/pop EP ‘Make Believe’, with their song ‘Faultline’ being nominated for a West Australian Music (WAM) award. They have now transitioned into an alt-pop sound with their first commercial single ‘Men Are From Mars’.

Bringing to life a cliche love story, ‘Men Are From Mars’ lyrics focus on a person who is nervously searching the world, or in this case – the solar system for love.
The bubbly ‘Men Are From Mars’ video clip shows off the duos personalities perfectly – it’s funny, qwerky and romantic all at once. With the clips story based on the lyrics of the song, this is a ride that is out of this world.
