Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Soultronixx Deep : I grew up in a Village Called Dzanani found in Limpopo (Venda) I was Raised by my Grandparents and Single Mom,grew up in a good family background that’s very supportive but when they knew I was into Deejaying everything changed hahaha but they ended up giving up and let me be,I decided to become an artist when my cousin Sandile Masebe Better Known as Sand isle introduced me to house music and that’s when i started Deejaying and learning how to produce and know basic stuff about music

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Soultronixx  Deep : Before my Recent name I was Called Fhiwaz Da Dk but when you grow musically and get to know better and getting educated  about music that’s where I had to Rebrand and change my name, that’s when i combined Soul that means Soulful and Tronixx for electronic music that I sometimes play and Deep for Deep house ,and Soultronixx  Deep Was Born

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Soultronixx Deep :Online music sharing is both good and bad since there’s no bad publicity, piracy killed a lot of musicians in South Africa ,sales have dropped but through thee passion and how driven we are we continuously do music,I don’t really give out my music for free, well I used to do that it helped me build my fanbase nevertheless  file sharing is bad.. it’s killing talents

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Soultronixx  Deep : I always tell my fellow producer friends that they should make use of social media, because its the fastest  way to communicate  with the world  it’s easy to connect to whoever you want to get connected  with and  get to talk to promoters or negotiate  a reasonable  price for their performance, for radio airplay they should submit their music to e-mail’s provided by radio stations so they get some airplays its not easy but patience  is the name of the game

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Soultronixx  Deep : no deejay is perfect mistakes are bound to happen, either by having an error or scratch on your usb
Or Cd that disturbs your whole momentum  but bouncing back is easy you just find a way out by using effects and quickly que in the following song but never show that you made a mistake, just keep going on.. everyone makes mistakes and people love seeing the confidence  in you after you made that mistake its nature
