Hey guys! I’ve been busy working on original music these past few months, and working hard back in Perth after 2018’s big trip in America so I apologise for the lack of content these past few months!
Anyway I was thinking about this track and all of the Africa covers I’ve heard over the years, and wondering what it was that made them sound so close but yet so different from the original (besides the original being by god mode musicians). So one night for fun, I set out with MIDI trying to decipher all the intricate parts that make up the iconic masterpiece that is this song! As you do when recording music, it got completely out of hand past the intro and I started replacing the midi tracks with real instruments and so forth and now here we are! LOL
