Defconn, who showed potentials as a multiplayer through many activities as a musician as well as entertainer and achieved great success personally, came back with a new album after 4 years. The new album boasting Defconn’s outspoken style as his early age has tracks that fully embody his musical mindset as the title says.

The title song ‘Frankenstein’ is a rap song under trap beat sounds as powerful as ‘Dok Go Die’ and concerns that the current hip hop trend which is leading the global fashion tends to focus on swag or bragging which looks like a nouveau riche. Also, he wanted to show his respect for the musicians who are firm in their convictions in the scene against many temptations.

ミュージシャンと放送の領域を行き来して、マルチプレイヤーとしての可能性と、これまで個人として驚くべき成果を遂げたデフコンが、4年ぶりにニューアルバムで帰ってきた。初期のデフコンのパワフルな姿を思う存分誇る今回のアルバムは、タイトルで分かるように、彼の音楽的な心構えがそのまま溶け込んでいるトラックで構成されている。

タイトル曲「フランケンシュタイン」は、特攻隊のようなパワフルなラップがTRAPビートの上にのせられている。成功の基準とは果たして何なのか、世界的な流行りをリードしている現在のヒップホップが、成金のように映されるSwagや自慢話へと流れていくのではないかという狂気混じりの境界が盛り込まれている。加えて、さまざまな誘惑にも動揺することなくシーンで自分の所信を守っていく世界のミュージシャンへの尊敬の念も込めたかったという。

뮤지션과 방송인의 영역을 넘나들며 멀티 플레이어로서의 가능성과 그간 개인으로서 놀라운 성과를 일궈낸 데프콘이 4년 만에 새 앨범으로 돌아왔다. 초창기 데프콘의 거침없던 모습을 맘껏 자랑하는 이번 앨범은 제목에서도 말해주듯 그의 음악적인 마음가짐이 고스란히 녹아있는 트랙들이 수놓아져 있다.

타이틀곡 “프랑켄슈타인”은 독고다이에 맘먹는 파워풀한 랩이 TRAP 비트에 깔려 있는데, 역시나 성공의 기준이란 과연 무엇인지, 세계적인 유행을 주도하고 있는 현재의 힙합이 졸부스럽게 비춰지는 스웩이나 자랑으로만 과하게 흘러가는 것은 아닌지에 대한 광기 섞인 경계가 담겨있다. 더불어 이런저런 유혹에도 흔들림 없이 씬에서 자신의 소신을 지켜가는 세상 뮤지션들에 대한 존경의 마음도 담고 싶었다고 한다.
