What it is: The Great Escape has opened artist applications for its 2027 programme in Brighton, England, in partnership with CD Baby. The submission window runs through February 15, 2027.
Who it’s for: Emerging artists from any genre and anywhere in the world. The official call welcomes completely independent acts, artists with a team and recently signed performers.
How it works: Apply from the festival’s official Apply to Play page. There is no application charge, and you do not need a CD Baby account. Selected artists join a live programme that brings new music to Brighton venues and an international industry audience.
Worth knowing: The public application pages do not specify performance fees or travel reimbursement; confirm those terms when discussing a booking. The festival cannot give every applicant feedback. Its guidance says that artists who have not heard by March 31, 2027 should consider their application unsuccessful.
