Reports describe a hospital visit and return to prison; the circumstances of the injury remain unclear.
What has been reported
Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly received hospital treatment after suffering a head injury while incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. People’s October 12 update says a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed the hospital visit and described the injury as non-life-threatening.
The report places the transport early on Saturday, October 10, and says Combs returned to the prison later that day. It also states that the cause of the injury was unclear. Those are attributed reports; EV has not independently obtained medical records or confirmed the circumstances.
His representative is seeking details
Combs’ spokesperson said the team was aware of the reports and working to confirm what happened, according to the coverage. The Hollywood Reporter also reported the brief hospitalization, while Variety placed the incident within his current imprisonment.
Combs is serving a 50-month prison sentence, according to Variety’s report. The latest coverage concerns the reported medical incident during that imprisonment; the cause of the head injury has not been established in the sources reviewed.
The outstanding question
The central unresolved issue is how the injury occurred. The reporting cited here does not establish an assault, a diagnosis, or an enduring change in Combs’ condition. No such conclusion can be drawn simply from the fact that treatment was reported.
The report remains subject to clarification from Combs’ representatives and other authoritative sources. The hospital visit and reported return on October 10 are the current timeline; the next substantive update would explain what happened or provide further confirmed information about his condition.
