A Paid Opener Slot at The Front Festival (Texas Artists)

What it is: Future Front Texas runs an Independent Music Showcase with a paid opener slot at The Front Festival, a real booking with real pay attached rather than a pay-to-play exposure gig.

Who it’s for: Musicians based in Texas — the open call is explicitly restricted to Texas-based artists, so check that before putting a submission together.

How it works: Apply through the organization’s own submission page; one opener slot is awarded from the applicant pool for the showcase date.

Worth knowing: A paid slot at a named event, awarded through open application, is exactly the shape of opportunity worth applying to — compare that against any “opportunity” that asks the artist to pay for the stage time instead.
