Film premiere: The Irresistible Urge to Dance x Nyege Nyege 2020 opening

Many have tried, none have succeeded in capturing the elusive Nyege Nyege. Usually filmmakers tend to leave their camera behind and get engulfed in the madness of the festival. But Nyege Nyege wasn’t ready for the determination of Indian cultural activist Aneesha Kotwani, who founded WVLGTH to create more ties between India and the rest of the world, and we’re blessed that this world includes Uganda and the weath of culture it carries. She made it outta Nyege and this is the story she told.
