The Norman Haines Band – Elaine (lyrics vid) UK, 1972
Long and black let your hair hang down
Let it hang so low that it hide your frown
Dark and brown let your eyes see me
Though I’m not the only one to see
But I am the one I’m the one who loves you
And it was me girl, calling your name
Now, blame
Dry your eyes don’t you look so sad
Can’t you understand that it’s not so bad
Time will mend all the hurt and pain
And I swear the sun will shine again
And I am the one, I’m the one who loves you
And it was me girl, calling your name
Now, blame
guitar break
Long and black let your hair hang down
Let it hang so low that it hide your frown
Dark and brown let your eyes see me
Though I’m not the only one to see
But I am the one I’m the one who loves you
And it was me girl, calling your name
Now, blame

Norman Haines founded this band, with

Then in 1970 the Parlophone label signed Sacrifice and recorded their debut single (Daffodill / Autumn Mobile) but it seems that the label weren’t satisfied with their name cause they changed their name from “Sacrifice” to “The Norman Haynes Band”.
