Found in the Inbox: Logan Lynn Says ADIEU With “Go There When You Want to Be Loved
In this story
Logan Lynn is a musician, writer, composer, singer, producer, activist and television personality based in Portland, Oregon. The Rive Video Promotion campaign for “Go There When You Want to Be Loved” dates the national breakthrough to 2006, when MTV’s Logo channel began airing Lynn’s music videos.
From Logo to the Dandy Warhols’ label
Lynn hosted Logo’s NewNowNext Music and appeared in commercial spots for the channel. The network named Lynn’s videos among its Top 10 Videos of the Year in 2007 and 2008, and they also ran on MTV, VH1 and Spike TV. From 2007 to 2010, Lynn was signed to Caroline/EMI through Beat the World, the label owned and operated by The Dandy Warhols.
Activism, then ADIEU
In 2010 Lynn went on hiatus to work on activism full time. The return came in 2013 with a new record, a US tour, new videos and a well-received Miley Cyrus cover, along with the promise of a new sound. That sound arrived on ADIEU, the eighth studio album, released September 23, 2016.
Why it was in the inbox
A title like “Go There When You Want to Be Loved” sounds like advice. From an artist who stepped away to help others, it reads like it.
