Found in the Inbox: Myrath Bring “Oriental Metal” to “Believer

In this story

Myrath is a Franco-Tunisian rock and metal band that, in a few short years, became a favorite of the international progressive power metal community. The Rive Video Promotion campaign for “Believer” introduced Legacy, the fourth album, as the one to take them higher.

From Hope to Legacy

The first album, Hope, came out in France in 2007. Desert Call followed in 2010 on the American label Nightmare Records, mixing traditional Tunisian music with metal and drawing strong reviews, and 2011’s Tales of the Sand was also critically acclaimed.

Oriental metal

Myrath dubbed the new sound “oriental metal,” and the campaign says it lifted the band onto opening slots with Dream Theater, HIM, W.A.S.P., Orphaned Land and Tarja. Legacy arrived on Nightmare Records in 2016 with tour plans in Europe and North America.

Why it was in the inbox

“Believer” is the opening statement of the album that took Myrath from support act to headliner.
