Found in the Inbox: Jerry Bogan Lets the Heartache Pour on “Let It Rain
In this story
Jerry Bogan hails from West Texas and is no stranger to songwriting, with hundreds of original songs written, the Rive Video Promotion campaign for “Let It Rain” says. The single opened 2016 for the artist and the Nashville team at Musik and Film Records.
A song about losing love
“Let It Rain” brings the pain of love to life and lets it rain, as the campaign puts it: the hurt and disappointment of losing love. Written by Bogan and produced by Stephen Wrench and the MAF production team, it was the first release from a 10-song album months in the making.
Heard around the world
Musik Radio Promotions sent the single to radio worldwide. Count, of Way Out Radio in the UK, called it “a nice, mellow number” from a voice “that would melt the hearts of a thousand young ladies, instantly,” and Roy Beagly added it to the weekend Romance Hour program.
Why it was in the inbox
Some songs do not need reinvention. “Let It Rain” is a classic heartbreak ballad delivered straight.
