Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

Prince Leone: I heard about Exposed Vocals through a Twitter message. It seemed like an extremely potential platform to get exposed on.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Prince Leone: I grew up in Colombo, Sri Lanka and in terms of how I started off, well it all began in High school, when I started rapping to Eminen’s songs and thereafter took on to writing my own music and performing at various events in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Prince Leone: It happened while I was performing in the USA, at college, everyone used to call me “Prince” and after some time, I just made it Prince Leone, as I felt like it exemplified the true character and nature of an artist with humility and dignity.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Prince Leone: It is a good means of allowing people to enjoy the heartbeat of love, which is music. I do at times and I do it because it is about sharing the gift of freedom, which I, as an artist enjoy, in being able to express the freedom in my heart.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Prince Leone: Look into the heart of your music and see yourself as the heartbeat of your music, because once you see yourself, you will see how to articulate your vision of being on stage, performing for the world who believes in you.

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Prince Leone: Yes I do and I do so by allowing the moment and the ambiance to take over and free flow, so that I become on with the atmosphere of joy.

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Prince Leone: Yes I do. Well it is about experiencing new revelations of love, because every one has something to share and they share their expressions of love whenever you meet someone new. I always enjoy the expressions of love I find in people’s hearts.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Prince Leone: From opening my heart to the world and seeing the world as it is,but with the hope and knowing that it is so much better than what I see it as. I just write and allow my writing to speak back to me and show me the depths of truth within my writing.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Prince Leone: Not yet. But I do use Facebook and Reverbnation.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Prince Leone: I believe that every song has a message in it, if one could only be humble enough to identify that message and allow that message to become a reality. I don’t think that any song is an embarrassing.
