Found in the Inbox: Indytronics Bring Kiev’s Indie Revival to “Clone Fight
In this story
Indytronics call themselves an indie-rock and post-punk revival band, and the Rive Video Promotion campaign for “Clone Fight” says they set out to put Ukraine on the map for a new style of alternative music.
Inspired on the streets of Stockholm
Founders Daniel and Denys were touring Europe when they came across street musicians in Stockholm playing with an interesting, melodic indie feel. Impressed, they went home to Kiev and started a band of their own in 2012.
Radio, TV and runways
In three years Indytronics appeared on several Ukrainian TV shows and found rotation on Radio Roks, Europa Plus, American Whiskey Radio, HotMix Radio and Germany’s CTdasradio. The EP Vision came out on October 4, 2013, followed by the album Scintilla Wave on April 23, 2015. The band has been covered by Britain’s Huck magazine and featured in fashion shows on the IDFashion network in the US, Ukraine, Italy, Austria and France.
Why it was in the inbox
“Clone Fight” proves the revival does not belong to London or New York.
