New on EV: Y.E.V, ‘A Shadow Fading Out’

Please welcome Y.E.V, the project of Istanbul songwriter Yunus Emre Vurgun. His single A Shadow Fading Out came out on 13 December 2024, and his camp describes it as a quiet, moody indie song.

Yunus writes, plays and records everything himself at home and releases his music independently, with no label behind him. According to his team, the work is fully human-made, with no AI-generated vocals or instruments.

One detail worth knowing as you explore his catalogue: Yunus also records under several other names, including Mr. Free Soul, Prince of Andromeda, Pencil Man and Underground Singers. They are all him rather than separate acts. His wider catalogue and artwork are collected on his website.
