Ananda Xenia Shakti & Love Power the Band — The Perfumed Garden: Found in the Inbox

Found in the Inbox · From the MTS release archive

Ananda Xenia Shakti and Love Power the Band announced The Perfumed Garden for January 6, 2026, aligning the date with Epiphany. The supplied account traces the song to Shakti’s time in India and a retreat with Baul devotional singers from Bengal. Its title refers to divine union, and the campaign connects the music with ecstatic dance, mantra and embodied devotion. Shakti’s earlier punk background provides another part of that creative context.

Ananda Xenia Shakti is a singer and yogini whose musical background includes founding the all-female punk band B Girls and singing backing vocals for Blondie. With Love Power the Band, she creates devotional music connected with mantra, ecstatic dance and spiritual practice. Her catalog includes Hare Hare Dance, Psychedelic Halo, Are You Looking for Me and The Perfumed Garden. The latter was announced for January 2026 and was inspired by time spent in India with Baul devotional singers from Bengal.
