Songwriting meets movement
Raised in Richmond, Texas, Calla developed her performance background through singing and competitive dance before moving to Nashville. She later appeared on Season 24 of The Voice with Gwen Stefani’s team.
The new EP brings relationships, independence, faith and self-discovery into focus. Calla wrote much of the project herself or with collaborator Elizabeth Evans. The announced songs include “Breathe,” rooted in leaving a relationship behind, and “Slippin’,” which draws on Y2K dance energy.
