Jukebox unveils $15 million fund to fuel next-gen music and culture startups
London-based agency Jukebox has launched a $15 million venture capital fund aimed at supporting early-stage startups at the intersection of music, technology, and culture. The initiative, under the new banner Jukebox Ventures, marks the agency’s expansion from communications and brand building into investment and innovation strategy.
The fund, titled Fund I, will focus on pre-seed to Series A rounds and target companies operating in music rights infrastructure, licensing, creator tools, fan engagement, immersive media, music education platforms, and live event technology. It’s a clear signal that Jukebox is looking to move beyond PR into long-term strategic influence across the entertainment space.
Despite global music industry revenues surpassing $32 billion, early-stage funding for music-tech ventures remains limited. Jukebox aims to bridge that gap by not only providing capital but also offering its network, platform access, and industry know-how to companies capable of scaling both culturally and commercially.
The fund is led by co-founder and general partner Alex Jukes, alongside Christian Lawrence as head of investor relations, Kevin Caballes as operating partner, and Anthony Trotta as head of trading. An advisory board is also being formed, drawing from artists, DJs, music executives, and founders with ties to the tech and culture sectors.
In a statement, Jukes said the fund will focus on identifying companies that “understand not just where the industry is headed, but how to define its direction.” He added that Jukebox Ventures aims to provide more than just investment, helping startups gain visibility, cultural traction, and long-term market relevance.
The move reflects a broader trend within the music business, where creative firms are evolving into financial stakeholders. It positions Jukebox to have a direct hand in shaping the tools, platforms, and experiences that will define the next wave of music innovation.
While the fund’s long-term impact remains to be seen, Jukebox has established itself as a serious player in the growing space where music meets venture capital. For startups navigating the early-stage funding desert, this new option could bring both capital and culture into the equation.
