Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Young CAM: i was contacted on Twitter by you guys and yall offered me a interview
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Young CAM: I grew up in gary Indiana, Rite next to Chicago. Alot of people die and get killed and i have seen thing as a kid that kids shouldn’t have to see, but i seen and been through alot so i pit it all in my music.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Young CAM: My initials are CAM and i got young from listening to young pappy the Chicago rapper and loved his music and the feel so i called my self young CAM
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Young CAM: I would give my music away for free and i think music sharing is great because it gives people the opportunity to be heard and feel like people actually wanna listen to them and their story.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Young CAM: im still a artist trying to make it myself but I would tell em if the got rich off rap to stay humble and never give up on your free if u dont feel like you’re going somewhere
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Young CAM: I haven’t had my first performance yet lol but im workin on building an audience first.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Young CAM: like i said I haven’t been on tour or done a show but im ready for it
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Young CAM: I usually jus let the stuff come to me because i cant really force the good stuff out…i let it flow out
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Young CAM: no
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Young CAM: im not embarrassed by none of my music lol
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Young CAM: I would invest in my own recording studio and get to work lol…No days off
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Young CAM: im on a mac book pro rite now and yes im trying to get in a recording studio soon to make better quality sound
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Young CAM: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and soundcloud for me
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Young CAM: Chicago with young pappy or lil herb and bibby because they are cool
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Young CAM: i have a mixtape called the reason and it will be about my experiences and life growing up

Young CAM: staying in the army

Young CAM: i never bought an album
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Young CAM: i write the music were ever it comes to me and then i put it on a track after i get off work but make sure I work hard at both.
