Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Xenith: I grew up in Hamilton Ohio on the 900th block of (Gordon avenue) it was like living in a thriller movie, I lost friends and even been in deadly situations myself. I was introduced to music by (Aaron Sizemore) started over 12 years ago.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Xenith: I came up with (Xenith) which stands for -to the highest point in the sky- I believe the highest point is heaven, I am not just doing this for my people thats here on earth, I’m doing this for the people I’ve lost as well, so thats how I came up with my name.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Xenith: I think online music sharing is great, but you got to learn to do it right and get the right people to hear your voice, and not as a signed artist. Yes, I believe giving away your music free is only right.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

 

Xenith: My tip to artists is, do not let fear overcome you. If this is the dream you are chasing and want to achieve you have to start somewhere, like bars with open mics and even shows in small clubs. It doesn’t matter where you start just keep pushing.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Xenith: I usually go (beat shopping) if I hear a beat that I like I buy it, or just hit youtube and ask people if I can use their’s if I can’t find any, whatever profits I get will be split. I gather my own lyrics I am a solo artist, and speak about what I’ve been through or have done.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Xenith: Half of one million? Honestly I would give some to charities and still work, work now rest later. reason for giving to charities would to give more people second chances in life, those who need it the most.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Xenith: I have recently just joined twitter and shared music, but youtube would be best to use I just need more subscribers.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Xenith: Not as of now, but as soon as I record more songs I’m pretty sure I’ll make calls and I will keep everybody updated.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

• Xenith: Music is my heart and soul, if it wasn’t for me being introduced to an escape from my past of violence and street life, I would probably be dead. music has changed me.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Xenith: You always have to find time in your dream career or you will not achieve your goals, don’t get me wrong on this you always put your responsibilities first no matter what, but the time your wasting sitting around at home you could be reaching out, there is always time in what you really want.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Xenith: A lot more great music to come and hopefully more shows and connections. I love all of my fans who have supported me through my struggle in this journey, you will always be a part of me.
