Atharv Choudhary a.k.a trox is an 17 years old young Indian artist, rapper and songwriter located in Haryana Yamunanagar, who has been singing and writing since 2010,
Trox began showcasing his talent by participating in talent shows and school fests, and archiving first place in many contests.
He also is an good drummer and has a talent to learn every instrument with ease.
His addiction of online rap battles lead him to met some talented people and his school friends, together they founded a music company called D.M.W.V.(Da Most Wanted Vendettaz).
Trox is an independent artist who recently made an independent label called Troxity Records which is slowly leading towards success.
Trox’s greatest achievement is that he has recently launched two songs on YouTube and also he has mastered the technique of making music by different types of softwares he can sing and make music in genres like RnB, hip hop, pop, metal etc.
His role models and greatest inspirations are great artists like Tech N9ne, Eminem, Akon and Enrique Iglesias.
Trox’s dream is to become an successful sound engineer and a great musician which he believes to archive with perfection of talent and time.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Trox: well I grow up in small town in U.P. In India I have a simple family and no one in my family have a musical background, I mean no one in family have this talent I was the first one in the whole family who was born with this gift and found this gift trapped inside me when my friends forced me to perform on stage in a school show and I won with the first prize from that moment I decided to make this talent my career.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Trox: before I had the name “trox” I was usually known from my real name but then I started online rap battling and I needed a name that’s when this name came up from an incident which happened in my childhood, one day I was painting with my brother I drew a dragon I didn’t speak English well at that time so my bro asked me to name that dragon and then i drew the name trox on it I still have that painting so i took that name and made myself ‘The Trox’ an dragon.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Trox: I think that name is worth more than money, if you have name means you have fame and if you have fame then u will have money too. Free online sharing makes you famous I mean everyone love something good as music and would love it more if it’s free, you can have your your name people free online sharing is the best way to be known as a singer.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Trox : i just have one thing to say to them that is believe in yourself don’t let any opportunity to get away. Always be socially active the more you explore the more you get knowledged just like I’m having this opportunity to give an interview I’m glad I found exposed Vocals on Twitter, so everyone out there struggling to be on top just put your best and just believe in you.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Trox : I usually get the inspiration from my life the events that has happened in my life are my inspiration to write songs, my song “be mine” is written for my high school crush, I bet she’d be listening this song on YouTube right now, and my second song “killer” is written on my first breakup, I wrote many songs and all are based on reality and my life.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Trox: I usually distribute and share my music on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter I’m also connected with reverbnation and instagram which help me connect to my fans and other artists, I have my record’s channel on YouTube called ‘Troxity Records’.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Trox: Well first I would need someone wake me up from unconsciousness after seeing that much money haha, then I would like to open a recording studio and I would like to buy a decent place to live a big house and then with perfect future planning I will help other artists to came up and I will also help poor people to have their basic necessities.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Trox : Google helps me a lot for finding new ways to promote my music by signing different sites and social networking sites, Facebook, Twitter and reverbnation works best for me I connect to lots of my fans and friends and on Twitter I found exposed Vocals and other artists to share my music to.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Trox: well I still have more songs to launch next month two new songs are dropping, and after that I will launch my first album on which I’m working on this album have five love songs and my other album have six hip hop songs I have been working on them from three years now I have nearly perfected them every beat and every verse soon they all be releasing.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Trox: If my friends didn’t supported me that day to get on the stage then i wouldn’t be an artist, I would have become a nerd, and I’m sure I would be giving a job interview to some lame company, but I’m glad that it didn’t happened and instead of that I’m giving this awesome interview.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Trox: My only responsibility now is to get great grades in school and to be an great singer it’s hard to juggle them both because studies can be challenging if I didn’t concentrate on it, so I have to keep everything balanced I only release my music before my exams time and after my school I will be joining a multimedia collage at that time it all will be fine because I will have enough time for music.

Trox: they all should stay tuned because I will be releasing a new song next month and its going to be huge I have just finished it’s beats and soon it will be hammering your speakers.
