Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

Trel Loc: Sumter, South Carolina is where i grew up. I always enjoyed art and culture and music resonated I visited my father who had experience and was involved in music. That’s when saw i can be creative, artistic, an express myself I decided I was going to do it.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Trel Loc: I came up with the name “Trel Loc” because I was inspired by the others who were called Loc to keep the inspiration going, Trel is actually short for my first name.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

Trel Loc: I think online sharing is cool. Artist don’t always have or want to use a physical way to share. I have given music away for free because I wanted to be heard and recognized with hope of greater.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Trel Loc: Don’t do anything outrageous, stay humble, and keep mindful.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

Trel Loc: I gain inspiration from my supporters like my family,friends, and other artist. I usually find a instrumental or beat and go from there.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

Trel Loc: No band website. I use online platforms that allow me to interact with others about my music.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

Trel Loc: A selected few and I would go to Tokyo, Japan for a vacation.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Trel Loc: Social Media, I find if i promote it then its best for me anything after that is love.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Trel Loc: I have some new projects coming up with other artist from South Carolina I’m excited about.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

Trel Loc: i would be a manager, if I weren’t making music.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

Trel Loc: I handle responsibility first, then i focus on my music life.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

Trel Loc:Just overall more music
