Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Tookie Ray: Well I grew up down south , in Macon ,Ga its like an hour From Atlanta. I grew up on the westside of the Mac-Town (Macon) .. ya know since my dad was an Dj i always been connected with the music.. soo i guess it branched on from there
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Tookie Ray: lol its a funny story actually .. Cause I didnt like the name at first .. I think I was in the 7th grade and this friend of mine started calling me that and i hated but i grew into it years later lol and now I stuck with it every since ,lol Tookie is my nick name that my grandma named me & Ray is just my last name and in a crazy way they got fuzed together lol
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Tookie Ray: I think its a good to branch out & be herd by people and to get feedback and staying connected with the fans, yes of course all my music is free for downloads..why ? because you know actually thats a good question never really thought about why I lol i dont even know what to say
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Tookie Ray: awl man you know its all about branching out and getting to meet new people , like you cant be shy ,like this is your dream if you want it go get it , like & its ok to do free shows & talent shows & open mics because you never know who is watching or knows somebody ya know
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Tookie Ray: awwl man like i get inspiration from just like things ive experienced or seen, but usaully i dont really write songs i just go off the vibe of the beat and just flow with it
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Tookie Ray: nah not at the moment, but the platforms i use is youtube & soundcloud ,and instagram ya know all the basic social media sites and also datpiff !
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Tookie Ray: i hould invest half of it to make it back and the other half .. lol man i dont even know .. i would make sure i enjoy myself though
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Tookie Ray: by having friends share links, or going out to clubs interacting with Dj’s.. well what works best for me is both
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Tookie Ray: yes of course i have a mixtape in the works as we speak with my bro ! dont have a name for it yet , wanna let my fans create the name for me
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Tookie Ray:i would be making beats or trying to be manager ya know, keeping a foot inside the music world
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Tookie Ray: ehh it can be difficult at times but u have to make sure your responsibilities are tooking care of first

Tookie Ray : aaaawl a new sound ,more music ,and visuals just alotta work its gonna be an great year !
