Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Tiago Tavares: I met the ExposedVocals by a friend who was promoting my musical workI agreed to do the interview!
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Tiago Tavares: Well I was born in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso Do SulMy parents separated when I was with one to two years , I lived with my mother and when I was 14 I moved in with my father, I lived a year and a bit with him ,and I live with my mother.I always had a great taste for the music of Bruno & Marrone.my musical side comes over the family of my mother my older brother, son of my stepfather ,smepre played guitar, and I singing the karaoke and knew many, children’s songs … the part of the family that pulled me enough for music.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Tiago Tavares: My name came from my nickname was always Tavares, and we think TiagoTavares would be a strong name.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Tiago Tavares: share songs online think today is the best way to promote it is one thing publicly and nowadays everyone uses the internet is very practical and easy and fast.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Tiago Tavares: wellin relation of mistakes, i don’t me despairif I happen to errletters or notesjust keep the musicAs if nothing had happenedbecause, sometimes even it goes unnoticed the error.for this reason I follow singing normally.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Tiago Tavares: wellI haven’t made my tour stillI’m at the beginning of my careerbut, i sing in schools, parties, social gatherings, and some bars, and others places.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Tiago Tavares: in the composition,well, for me it is still a difficultyI try to inspire me in the everyday at the time that I will composebecause so many people can identify with the musicI think this is an easy way to do good musics pleasant of to hear.when do I start compose, always i begin with the melody …I start a certain sequence of notes, rhythm, and letter.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Tiago Tavares: well,still I do not have my own websitebut I have ideas in mind …I use very Facebook and Instagram to make disclosureyeah! the social networks that i have more followers,and I think are the easiest to me find.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Tiago Tavares:on my playlistI think you don’t will find no embarrassing song on my playlist.in my playlist you’ll hear Sertanejo of the new for old.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Tiago Tavares: would invest a good part of the music, and help my parents with what they need.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Tiago Tavares:Well,now that is at the beginning of the year, I will return to sing in between the collegesget my songs , record them in the studio, and release this working…I already have everything in mind.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Tiago Tavares: well,I usually put on my Instagram, and in my Facebook pagemy friends can share and pass onbut whenever I will events, I hold away my guitar and, I leave in the car waiting for a gap to go in the car and take the guitar for and sing playing to the crowd.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Tiago Tavares: Well,I would present myself at Villa Mix, with Luan Santanabecause when he was younger, he was very close to my family,and he was always singing in barbecues and birthdays,and I think that all this also helped a lot in my musical training,and today I think he is the biggest name of Sertaneja Music, and would help me a lot.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Tiago Tavares: My next step is to continue composing, going behind good songs and record them.the important thing is not to stop to attempt, at the beginning is always difficult, but once the momentum picks up, to if you want stop… what it is not my case.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Tiago Tavares: to tell the truth and I do not see myself doing anything other than singing, but I am doing college of civil engineering, but I don’t imagine to working me with anything besides the music.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Tiago Tavares: was the album of Bruno & Marrone, I always liked the pair, I thought and still think the voice of the Bruno is out of the ordinary, it is as magic for me, so when I bought their album, I heard every day,and I not tired me never in to hear as songs.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Tiago Tavares: lately dividing things and try to find a good time to music is difficult, because I study in the morning, and I will start working in afternoon , remains me just night to devote myself to music, but it is no problem when it comes to something we love becomes toothsome!
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Tiago Tavares: They should keep an eye on my social networks because they will still hear a lot my name out there! i love my fans and my familly!I wanted to thank everyone who helped me get where I am, I know that don’t are many, but the people follow me from the beginning thank you are part of all it.
