Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

The M_Of_So: I ‘ve grown up in Perpignan in the south of france near the Spanish border. I decide to make music or exactly working sounds because it’s a big part of my life and part of myself too. I can’t live without.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

The M_Of_So: My complete artist name is TurboPii “the misfit of sound” it’s a quite long… The first part: “TurboPii” come from 1996 when I learned programming. Computers had a “turbo” button, and Pii as Programmer Industrial Informatique. Then when friends were listening my sounds, every time they told me it was strange, amazing a bit crazy that’s why I had “The misfit of sound” inspire by the television série “SUPERMINDS (Misfits of Science)”. I keep now the compressed The M_Of_So

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

The M_Of_So: I think it’s a good thing but difficult for the artists. Not easy to eat, buying hardware and software, having time to create. That’s why I’m working in an IT service and produce so little piece of sounds. Meanwhile I’ve produced a four title CD you can find here: http://bit.ly/21TfqDd

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

The M_Of_So:  I know DJ’s, there are already on sites as soundcloud, beatport, twitter, etc.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

The M_Of_So: It’s difficult to explain. I’m listening about other artists in club or happenings… And sometimes, at home when I turn on my home studio and load some plugs alchemy is created.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

The M_Of_So: Spending all the summer with some friends in technivals and clubs and then entering a professional studio to build new hypnotico-psychedelic sounds… Or others ! It’s one of my goal finding time to make sounds and noises J

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

The M_Of_So: I’ve just begun to reload my “old” sounds from myspace to soundcloud and share it on twitter and facebook. And maybe find some other artists to build sounds performances.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

The M_Of_So:  I will remix a techno track in a few times. Then building my own project (industrial/noise) I think not defined yet.

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

The M_Of_So: The job I’m doing now: webmaster

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

The M_Of_So : I don’t know… But when I’ll find you’ll be one of the first to know about. JJJ

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

The M_Of_So: One techno remix if the track is validate by the author and at least one or two tracks featuring in a bigger project (waiting for the half a million dollars and two years off) JJJ
