Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
The Hollow Triangles: I grew up in a town called Widnes in the UK my parents are from Liverpool & Manchester so I grew up between these 3 Places, I decided to become an artist after listening to my Neighbor Chris Everard play Guitar which inspired me to learn which lead to recording then to electronic music.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
The Hollow Triangles: The name comes from Follow the Hollow Triangle, it’s a sign which goes on emergency diversions, I use to walk on the Motorways/Highways, and needed to pick stickers up for a fresh diversion, but when we arrived the shop had printed the words not the symbols so I thought I could stick them on my drum kit like bands do.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
The Hollow Triangles: Online music sharing is something you have to expect, we all have done it at sometime and it’s a great way to get people to hear your stuff because it’s a big market to be in and hard to get noticed, yes I give music away for the same reason to get the name about
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
The Hollow Triangles: Local pubs / clubs with the offer of free first gig if they like then maybe they will book you for paid next time, for airplay internet shows for the unsigned, that’s where I first had mine played on XRP Radio
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
The Hollow Triangles: Mistakes happen with nerves sometimes but you should of talked about what to do in practice, basically carry on coz the likely hood is the audience didn’t know a mistake was made
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
The Hollow Triangles: Not toured yet but it s something I’d love to do
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
The Hollow Triangles: I usually start at the drop…the bit that ive creative in my head into the main melody. After that I build my drum loops then basslines
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
The Hollow Triangles: webpage under construction, but I use soundcloud, mixcloud mainly for sharing music
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
The Hollow Triangles: Probably some children’s song as I did my best friends daughters birthday at short noticed and downloaded some tunes. time warp, superman, agga doo haha
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
The Hollow Triangles: I would do aRound the world trip visiting my record labels artists and shake their hand in person and say thank you then go out on a night with them
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
The Hollow Triangles: upgrades have been done which included Native instruments Mstruments Maschine, F1, X1 for digital setup with traktor, Reloop Beatmix 4 & Serato dj, and some Stanton T62s for vinyl
