Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Terrikal: I Grew Up In Edinboro, Kingstown, St.Vincent And The Grenadines. I’ve Always Been Involved In Music As A Kid Being Borned Around The Time Of Our Local Carnival. While Growing Up I Joined The Community SteelBand “We Fantisya” Where I Played Three Guitar Sometimes A Four Cello Throughout Elementary School Then I Joined The “Bishop’s College Steel Orchestra” Which I Also Attended High School, So I Developed My Own Musical Skills Vocally An Began Writing My Own Songs Eventually.
I Realised At This Point That I Have A Gift With Words And That Gift Lead To Making Songs And Those Songs Built My Confidence To Carry On With Influences In The 90’s From “Buju Banton, Beenieman, MadCobra, NinjaMan And Shabba Ranks” To Name A Few.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?:
Terrikal: The Name Terrikal Derived From My Own Creative Mind, I had A Musical Brother Named “Lil Terror” Whom Was Shot And Killed A Few Years Ago Whom I Wanted To Have A Name Similar To Since We Were Close. And With My Creative Mind I Came Up With “Terrikal”. So “Terror” Was My Inspiration And So I Would Usually Say As My Slogan “Terrikally Speaking”……!!
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Terrikal: Online Music Sharing Is Neccessary Since It Is Kind Of An Unlimited Source Of Getting Your Musical Works Across In Quick Time And Able To See Reactions Rightaway. I Give My Music Away Solely For The Purpose Of Advertising And Fan Base Expansion.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Terrikal: I Will Say To Any One Looking For Airplay To Seek For Secularity Not Wait On One Person To Get Your Music Played, Also To Be Confident And Convincing That Your Material Is Good.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting proc
Terrikal: I Gather Inspiration From The Simplest Things But Am Mostly A Natural Where In All It Takes Is An Idea Which Might Come From A Phrase Or Even An ACtuall Situation….etc. Normally I Would Freestyle If Given A Riddim Then Record And Play Back Freestye, Take The Most Lyrical Parts Then Sypher My Melody If I Dont Have One.

Terrikal: I Dont Have A Band But I Can Be Found On “Reverbnation, Soundcloud, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter And Instagram” As Terrikal Or Terrikally Speaking !!!

Terrikal: I Would Certainly Take That Time And Money And Recreate My Music And Apearance Innovatively, Where In My Music Will Be Accessible Through More Social Media And The Internet As Well As A Few BillBoards As Far As I Can Get Them.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Terrikal: I Usually Email Tracks To My Phone Contacts Or Email Contacts, My Social Media Contacts And By Doing These Things The Word Gets Around And My Popularity Grows. The Internet Radio Shows That I Get My Features On As Well As The Djs That Play Download And Play My Music. I Think Personally Social Media Works Faster Than Most.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Terrikal: Terrikal Is Currently Recording Some New Dancehall Tracks With Producers As Far As Zimbabwe. I Did A Few Local Shows On “Mustique Island” And I Is Expecting To Gain More Appearances For The Rest Of The Year.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Terrikal: I Probably Would Of Owned A Small Roofing Company And Be The Best Husband To My Wife And Family. Cant Really Say When You Have This Gift.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Terrikal: My Responsibilities Are Handled In Various Ways, Thanks To My Family For Accepting Me As An Artist And For The Constant Support Where Needed. At The Same Time Must Thank The Most High For The Faith And Courage Embeded In Me To Never Give Up.
