Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

 

T-Dogg: I heard about it through Twitter and a friend told me to go for it.

 

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

 

T-Dogg: I grew up in Colorado, California, Montana and all over. I decided to get into music when I had a rap battle with some friends and they told me I completely owned and I got with my one friend for a rap group and we preformed at a talent show. That experience really made me realize this is what I want to do for a living.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

T-Dogg: It was a nickname given to me by a deceased friend

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

 

T-Dogg: I think online music is great it’s a perfect way to get your music out. I give all my music away for free. I fell if people truly enjoy my music or even just want to hear it they deserve too. I’ll probably always give away free music.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

T-Dogg: Just keep persistent but don’t be up in people’s face about your music. Have smart marketing and in the beginning don’t be afraid to pay so your music can be heard.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

 

T-Dogg: All the time. I just start a little freestyle then get back on track so no one notices and gives you a different song at that.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

 

T-Dogg: A little tour but only from Montana to California. It’s very fun and you meet a lot of interesting people. You have to remember not to party to hard or you might end up not wanting to preform.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 

T-Dogg: I sit down with a pad and pen and listen to my favorite artists and gather inspiration from that.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

 

T-Dogg: I just use YouTube and soundcloud.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

 

T-Dogg Barbie girl, the remake I made of hard nock life, the show pychc theme song.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

 

T-Dogg: Id buy some food go up to a mountain cabin listen to music watch movies and listen to music and get some new material.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

 

T-Dogg: Right now for YouTube and soundcloud I use a laptop piano and a mic.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

T-Dogg: Fliers and friends telling others about me is all I’ve ever done or marketed through Twitter.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

 

T-Dogg: I’d preform in California in like L.A. or Compton with Tupac (2pac) because he’s my favorite rapper and if be able to see him and get into a flow with him. I’d pick California, Compton because that’s where Tupac and N.W.A are from and they are my inspiration.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

T-Dogg: I have an album I’m working on to be called life of a nerd ft. Dontè the truth and another upcoming artist. It will have in the area of 10 tracks and be released for free on soundcloud or I’ll give directions for download

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

 

T-Dogg: I’d be pursuing my skating or bmx dream or I’d be working to try to be accepted to Oxford to major in biology

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

 

T-Dogg: My first album was 2pac and I saw it and liked his bandana and had no clue what rap even was until then.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 

T-Dogg: For me friends, family and girlfriend is first and music is second. I’m really trying to currently balance my studies and music career.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

 

T-Dogg: my album need life and a possible group forming with Dontè the truth with others or just us.
