Spacejumpers are an Indonesian indie/alt/post-rock band from Jakarta, Indonesia, formed in January 2009. The band’s original members is Hardjuno Pramundito/Juno (lead vocals, guitar), Harry Tigor Sihombing (guitar, bass, keyboard, synths), and Didi Hidayat (guitar, synths), with additional players Arief Agung Nugroho (guitar) and Gilang Jati Wiseso (drums) joined in 2014.Spacejumpers released an EP (Believe What You Believe) in July 19, 2012. Including singles like “Dehumanize”, Celestial Empire of Endless Mind” The length of EP’s 27.10 minutes. One of the song from the EP, “Dehumanize”, were listed in deathrockstar.club Soundcloud playlist (2013). Deathrockstar is one of the biggest music webzine in Indonesia. “Dehumanize” also contribute in Gerpfast – Verse 1 (a digital album).
Spacejumpers are inspired by pseudo-science about universe/multiverse, and also try to conceive nowadays social life through lyrics and music. Spacejumpers members were growing up in the 80’s-90’s, that absorbed the greatness of music era and put high respect to the artists/musicians/bands that never stop to evolve.

Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Spacejumpers:
We saw Exposed Vocals from twitter, and fortunately they reached out us via twitter message. Exposed Vocals pay attention to new artists or bands. We really think this is a formidable opportunity for us to promote our music.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Spacejumpers:
We grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. Within 80’s-90’s. We were inspired by all great musicians. About late 2000’s we met and coincidentally shared the same interest in music. We’ve been a band together ever since.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Spacejumpers:
We are inspired by pseudo-science about the universe/multiverse and very enthusiast with theme of space exploration. Then that name, came up in the making.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Spacejumpers:
It can contribute for new artist to be known. Yes, we did. Because we want to promote our music to larger audiences across the world.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Spacejumpers:
Just be genuine.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Spacejumpers:
Of Course we did, Just keep playing and improvise. Mistakes are part of live music performances, that’s what make live music exciting.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Spacejumpers:
Not yet at the moment. We are focusing on making new materials for our album.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Spacejumpers:
The inspiration comes up from our interest such as knowledge books, sci-fi movies and everything surrounding us or social political reality (domestic/ international).
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Spacejumpers:
Yes we do. We have accounts in Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Youtube, Reverbnation, Twitter, Facebook, Livejournal, Tumblr and Myspace. Social Media is a great medium to amplify our entity and give chance to approach wider listener across the world.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Spacejumpers:
We do believe that every musician has strong will to make a good music. We listen to all kinds of genre (songs) and sometimes we admit one of the songs had something peculiar in it. So in other ways we always marked a lesson from it.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Spacejumpers:
Whew, with that large amount of money, there is a chance to help the world a better place. We would like to build a foundation for war child victims or education foundation for children.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Spacejumpers:
We would like to build a drum room for recording. Right now we are recording new materials for our album.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Spacejumpers:
We mostly promote our music online, get in touch with our local music communities and play gigs every chance that we can.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Spacejumpers:
Definitely Radiohead. We all love to hear Radiohead songs since the Pablo Honey until Kings of Limbs era. Radiohead influenced us to make a music. So that would be great if we could perform with them.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Spacejumpers:
In our next album we are going to expand our music with more electronic nuance.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Spacejumpers:
Most of band members background are working as journalist. So if we don’t do music maybe we will be doing as it is, pursuing our careers. But music is honestly always in our mind, in other way maybe we will attend to watch concerts of our favorite bands / musicians
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Spacejumpers:
Well, most of us was buying album from British bands, such as Oasis, Radiohead and Blur.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Spacejumpers:
We try so hard to make music as an artwork, despite of all our daily jobs. It’s definitely not easy, but we try our best to maintain our commitment in music path.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Spacejumpers:
Currently we are going to make a bit different in style of music. We define more collectively in electronic nuance. And for more check out our new video.
