Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Sideglide: Well I always had a strong passion for music. I started play the organ when I was 6 years old and from time to time I was found myself use a little bit program like “virtual DJ” just for fun. Then when I was 14 years old, me and my friend took a part in a local DJ course, and I found it amazing, so I began play in my bedroom and birthday parties for my friends. Apparently, people liked the way I play music, so by the time I found myself preformed as dj in small clubs. People were exited from the music in my parties, and that feeling gave me the lust to learn more about how to create my own music. I decide to become an artist when I felt a little bit unsatisfied to play music of other artist. I decide to take one step forward and produce my own music according to my specific creative. I found creating music as an amazing art and a huge fulfillment.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Sideglide: In my music production I use to expand the track’s stereo image (that’s called in the music terms Side). Glide is the transition in the pitch between consecutively plays note actually also reflected in certain of my section. Because these two terms are familiar with my music style and reflect the main effects in my production, I decided to combine them together to SideGlide.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Sideglide: I think online music sharing is vary vital these days! By using online platforms every artist can share his music within a few seconds, so everyone can reveal new talents just in one click. I give my music for free today and I’ll keep publish it sometimes for free in future because as I see it, it creates a support community of people who are craving for music. I get great feedbacks from the audiences’ online which help me get better. I also find a huge inspiration by listing to other artist’s products.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Sideglide: First of all, submit yourself on your own zone like friends parties or a small clubs at the beginning, everyone start from the bottom. In my opinion it can be a good opportunity to get feedback from people you know. Then when you get enough experience you should get out of your comfortable zone and spread for new places. That is a great opportunity to reveal yourself for new audiences and key people from your scope. Also you can always use the great technology and promote yourself online. Finally, when you feel ready and crystallized with your own music style, I think the most powerful way to promote yourself is by making public relations in music events & committees like “ADE”.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Sideglide: Actually I’m not an officially songwriting at this time, but sometimes when I feel inspired I write  about my feelings, about my experiences through life or about people who left main impact on my life. Hopefully someday, when I found it right, one of my writing notes will combine in my music.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Sideglide: I don’t have a band website yet. I share my music on SoundCloud, demo-drop, YouTube Facebook and twitter.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Sideglide: As an artist who went through really tough road, I found it really important to support young artist in the begging of their way. I think I donate large amount of that money for music institutions and for young artists overall. In addition I always dream to improve my own studio and make it an advanced studio, supplied by the latest music devices technology. So if I had that amount of money, for no doubt I invested it on upgrade my studio so I can create better music and enjoy the place I spend most of my time in.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Sideglide: Actually I just in the beginning of promote my music and I have a long way to go, but for now I found Soundcloud promoter pages and groups community as the most efficient platform to promote myself and gain new audiences from all around the globe. I got feedback and message from people from some countries who liked my stuff and it gave me a huge fulfillment to see how connective music can be! I also connect with my audiences and reveal my music and more of my personal life through Facebook.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Sideglide: In this days I work on my first EP. I don’t have name for it yet, But I can insure you that it is gonna be different from my lasts productions. It contains lots of acoustics and authentic instruments combined with psychology sounds! One of the most special track is combined with airplane sound effects!

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Sideglide: It’s a tough question since all my life I was targeted through music… However I think I would probably open a big club. Actually it is serve my gain to make people happy but in a different way.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Sideglide: Every day I plan a daily schedule for the main issues to reach my aim: I put most of the time for music production, from time to time I found myself dedicated to play the piano, or promote my music. And of course I put a lot attention and to spend time with my friends and family.
